The second of five Rider wrestlers to earn All-American honors, finishing fifth in the nation in 1983. Tim was the first of two Bronc wrestlers to be invited to the prestigious East-West National All-Star wrestling match as a junior in 1982. He was ranked as high as second for much of his senior year. He won the ECC 167 pound title as a sophomore, 177 point title as a junior, and 190 pound title as a senior (as a freshman, he competed as Messiah College and finished fifth in the country in the NAIA). He graduated with Rider records in take downs in a season (52), and pins in a career (92), records that still stand today. He won the three most prestigious tournaments Rider takes part in, The Penn State Invitational, The Wilkes Open, and The Strousburg Open, at Penn State he suffered a broken rib in the semi-finals, but came back to defeat a national runner-up in the finals despite the pain.
