The only Rider softball player to earn All-Conference honors four consecutive seasons, Terry Gillespie graduated from Rider as the career hit leader in the entire East Coast Conference. Her softball teams won three consecutive conference titles and Rider's first ECAC Championship. Twice an All-Region selection, her four softball teams compiled a record of 113-55. A defensive standout on the Rider field hockey team, Gillespie led Rider to its first ECC Title Game as a sophomore, and led the team in scoring as a junior. Gillespie held the Rider record for career batting average (.373) and career runs batted in (115) until 2002 when both marks were broken by fellow Rider Hall of Famer Deanna Dovak.
