GENEVA, OH– The Rider University men's swimming and diving team claimed fifth at the 2025 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The Broncs compiled 396.5 points, while Niagara won the team championship with 653.5 points.
Derek Fantano (Morris, CT/Holy Cross) was the first A-finalist for the Broncs Saturday, and took home a silver medal in the 200-back, swimming 1:46.45.
Max Connelly (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) took third in the 200-breast with a time of 1:58.14.
Finishing the meet,
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School),
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional),
Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield), and
James Bugianesi (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) swam 3:02.01 for sixth.
