GENEVA, OH – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team is placed third following the opening day of competition at the 2026 MAAC Championships. The Broncs totaled 106 points on the opening day, while Iona scored 118 points to lead the way.
To open the meet,
Riley Rowan (Simpsonville, SC/Clonlara),
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional),
Tivon Benjamin (Palm Bay, FL/St. Anthony's Secondary School), and
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) swam 1:27.48 in the 200-medley relay to earn second place.
In the 800-free relay,
Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa),
Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield),
Luke Mesco (Mullica Hill, NJ/Mother of Divine Grace), and Benjamin stopped the clock at 6:41.87, earning fifth.
