GENEVA, OH – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team is placed fifth following the third day of competition at the 2026 MAAC Championships. The Broncs totaled 633.5 points through day three, while Fairfield has scored 860.83 points to lead the way.
The 100-fly started the strong day for the Broncs, with
Sebastian Canosa (Morristown, NJ/Morristown),
Tivon Benjamin (Palm Bay, FL/St. Anthony's Secondary School), and
James Bugianesi (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) finishing two-three-four with times of 48.40, 48.47, and 48.74.
In the 200-free,
Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield) swam 1:39.40 to secure seventh.
Maxwell Connelly (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) won Rider's second gold medal of the meet, winning the 100-breast in a one-two finish with
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) with the duo swimming 53.87 and 54.06.
Matthew Borovik (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) added a fifth-place finish in the event, swimming 54.57.
- To wrap up the day,
Riley Rowan (Simpsonville, SC/Clonara), Ruddy, Benjamin, and
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) combined to stop the clock at 3:16.31 to take fourth in the 400-medley relay.
