GENEVA, OH – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team is placed fifth following the second day of competition at the 2026 MAAC Championships. The Broncs totaled 310.5 points through day two, while Fairfield has scored 473.5 points to lead the way.
To lead the individuals on day two,
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) swam 20.04 and
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) touched the wall at 20.28 to place second and fifth, respectively.
In the diving well,
Stavros Xantheas (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) scored 308.90 on the 3-meter to earn the win with
Steven Figueroa (Whittier, CA/La Serna) scored 234.00 to take fourth in the event.
Wrapping up day two, Ruddy,
Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa),
James Bugianesi (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan), and Alvarez touched the wall at 1:20.03, finishing second.

th in the C-Final of the 500-free

th.
