BALTIMORE, MD – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team closed out competition at the H2ounds Invitational Sunday, moving up to finish third with 897 points. The host Greyhounds finished first with 2,836 points.
In the 400-medley relay to open day three,
Riley Rowan (Simpsonville, SC/Clonlara),
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional),
Tivon Benjamin (Palm Bay, FL/St. Anthony's Secondary School), and
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) combined to touch the wall at 3:18.73 for third.
In the 100-free A-Final,
Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield) was sixth with a time of 46.09.
Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa) finished eighth, touching the wall at 46.20.
In the A-Final of the 200-breast,
Maxwell Connelly (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) swam 2:00.25 to take second and Ruddy touched the wall at 2:05.04 for eighth.
The 3-meter diving event was won by
Stavros Xantheas (West Orange, NJ/West Orange), who scored 286.60.
Steven Figueroa (Whittier, CA/La Serna) was fourth with a score of 265.45.
Closing out the meet in the 400-free relay, Turos, Alvarez, Ruddy, and Rogowski combined for a swim of 3:01.50 to take second.
