BALTIMORE, MD – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team closed out day two of competition at the H2ounds Invitational Friday, moving up one spot to fourth after the day's competition with 729 points. The host Greyhounds are currently in first with 2,356 points.
In the A-Final of the 100-breast,
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) swam 54.19 to take third and
Maxwell Connelly (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon) touched the wall at 55.20 for fifth.
The 1-meter diving event was won by
Stavros Xantheas (West Orange, NJ/West Orange), who scored 264.70.
Steven Figueroa (Whittier, CA/La Serna) was fifth with a score of 238.80.
Closing out the day in the 200-free relay,
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School), Ruddy,
Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa), and
James Bugianesi (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) combined for a swim of 1:20.96 to take second.
