BALTIMORE, MD – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team closed out day one of competition at the H2ounds Invitational Friday, sitting fifth after the opening day of competition with 260 points. The host Greyhounds are currently in first with 1,059 points.
To open the meet,
Riley Rowan (Simpsonville, SC/Clonlara),
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional),
Tivon Benjamin (Palm Bay, FL/St. Anthony's Secondary School), and
Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School) got the Broncs fourth in the 200-medley relay, swimming a combined 1:29.81.
In the A-Final of the 50-free, Alvarez and Ruddy finished seven-eight with times of 20.60 and 20.82.
In the final event of the day,
Ethan Rogowski (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa),
Gage Sheldahl (Albuquerque, NM/Eldorado),
Luke Mesco (Mullica Hill, NJ/Mother of Divine Grace), and
Dawid Turos (Riverwoods, IL/Deerfield) took third in the 800-free relay with a time of 6:50.83.

- In the B-Final of the 500-free, Rogowski was 11
th and Mesco finished 13
th.
Filippo Sala (Davie, FL/Nova Southeastern University School) was 25
th and Turos 27
th in the C-Final.
