EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced results of the preseason coaches polls for men's and women's swimming and diving Wednesday and the Rider University men were picked to finish sixth with the women chosen ninth.
On the men's side, Fairfield earned four of the nine first-place votes to take the top spot in the poll. Niagara, the 2025 MAAC Champion, was selected second, earning two first-place votes. Marist was chosen third, despite collecting three first-place votes. Iona and Mount St. Mary's were pick fourth and fifth. Canisius, Saint Peter's, and Manhattan rounded out the poll.
For the women, Fairfield took the top spot in the poll with five first-place votes. Niagara, who won the title a season ago, earned four first-place votes to earn second. Marist, who was given the top spot twice in the poll, was picked third, and Sacred Heart earned the final first-place vote and was picked fourth. Iona, Mount St. Mary's, Siena, and Canisius were picked fifth through eighth, respectively. Merrimack, Saint Peter's, and Manhattan rounded out the poll.
The Broncs begin action on Oct. 11 when both teams host a conference meet against Iona in Coppola Pool.
