Swimming and Diving Announce 2023-24 Schedules

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University Head Swimming and Diving Coach Steve Fletcher has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season Wednesday.
 
Seton Hall Dual Meet
October 7 * Coppola Pool
Men's team vs. Seton Hall in 2022-23: The Broncs fell to the Pirates 167-128. Lucas Racevicius won the 100-free and 200-IM for Rider.
Women's team vs. Seton Hall in 2022-23: The Pirates topped the Broncs 197-94. Logan Wilson got the first win of her Rider career in the 200-IM.


Fairfield Dual Meet
October 14 * Coppola Pool

Quickly: The Broncs and Stags renew a conference rivalry that has not been competed as a dual meet since the 2016-17 season, a 212-67 win for the men, and 181-118 victory for the women.

Lehigh Dual Meet
October 21 * Bethlehem, PA
Men's team vs. Lehigh in 2022-23: The Broncs secured a 192.5-95.5 victory behind 14 event victories. The 200-medley relay team of Lucas Racevicius, David Cooper, Nicholas Lane, and Billy Ruddy combined to post a new pool-record time of 1:31.86.
Women's team vs. Lehigh in 2021-22: Lehigh won every event in the dual meet last season, topping the Broncs 227-69.
 
Marist Dual Meet
October 28 * Poughkeepsie, NY

Men's team vs. Marist in 2022-23: Rider won its 15th-straight over the Red Foxes with a 215-82 victory. The Broncs finished one-two in both the 100- and 200-back with Nicholas Lane winning the 100- and Christian Overton taking the 200-.
Women's team vs. Marist in 2022-23: The Broncs were defeated by the Red Foxes 194.5-105.5. Rider won four events, including wins in the 200-back and 200-IM by Logan Wilson.
 
Villanova Dual Meet (Men Only)
November 1 * Villanova, PA

Quickly: The Broncs have not faced the Wildcats in the Steve Fletcher era. Villanova took fourth at the BIG EAST Championships last season.
 
Siena/Sacred Heart Tri-Meet (Women Only)
November 11 * Fairfield, CT

Quickly: The Broncs renew another conference rivalry when they take on Siena for the first time since 2018-19, a 163-101 win for Rider.
 
Brown Invitational
November 17-19 * Providence, RI
Quickly: Replacing the Bucknell Invitational from previous seasons, the host Bears won the Invitational on both the men's and the women's side last season.
 
Rider University Diving Invitational
December 9 * Coppola Pool
Quickly: The Broncs will host the diving only event which will include divers from Pace University and Sacred Heart University.
 
Mount St. Mary's Dual Meet
December 16 * Coppola Pool
Quickly: In their first season in the MAAC in 2022-23, the Mountaineers finished seventh on the men's side and eighth on the women's side at the MAAC Championships.
 
Lafayette Dual Meet
January 13 * Easton, PA
Men's team vs. Lafayette in 2022-23: David Cooper set the Coppola Pool record in the 100-breast with a time of 55.89 to help lead Rider to a 164.5-122.5 win over the Leopards.
Women's team vs. Lafayette in 2022-23: The Broncs were topped by the Leopards 160-126. Rider won six events, including a sweep of both diving events by Maddy Altieri.
 
NJIT/Stonybrook Tri-Meet
January 20 * Newark, NJ
Men's team vs. NJIT in 2022-23: Rider won 12 events on its way to a 188-103 victory. Ethan Rogowski started the day with a win in the 1,000-free.
Women's team vs. Stony Brook in 2022-23: The Broncs won four events, but fell to the Seawolves 186-109. Connar Melcher won the 50-free and was a member of the Broncs' winning 200-free relay team.
 
MAAC Championships
February 14-17 * Geneva, OH
Men's team at MAACs in 2022-23: The Broncs led wire to wire en route to capturing their 11th-straight MAAC Championship. Head coach Steve Fletcher was selected as MAAC Men's Coach of the Year.
Women's team at MAACs in 2022-23: Rider finished seventh at the MAAC Championships. Karyn Creelman earned MAAC Rookie Diver of the Meet honors.
 
ECAC Championships
February 22-25 * Annapolis, MD
Men's team at ECACs in 2022-23: The Broncs placed eighth of 21 teams at ECACs.
Women's team at ECACs in 2022-23: Rider placed 22nd out of 23 teams at the meet.
