BUFFALO, NY – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team is leading the way through two days in their quest of an 11
th-straight title at the MAAC Championships. The Broncs compiled 253 points and lead second-place Niagara, who stands at 229.
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) scored the first points for the Broncs on Thursday, finishing eighth in the 500-free with a time of 4:36.38.
The Broncs had a huge showing in the 200-IM.
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) swam 1:49.09 to take the win.
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) went 1:50.38 for fifth, and
Christian Overton (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) swam 1:50.49 for seventh.
In the 50-free,
Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) finished sixth in 20.64,
Joe Gewartowski (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) took seventh in 20.70, and
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) claimed eighth in 20.72.
Rider closed out the day with a third-place finish in the 200-free relay. Irwin,
David McSorley (West Deptford, NJ/GCIT),
Jack Ruggieri (Bellmawr, NJ/Gloucester Catholic), and Gewartowski stopped the clock at 1:21.89.

th in the B-Final of the 200-IM.
- In the B-Final of the 50-free,
Alex Boeckx (Folsom, PA/Ridley) finished tied for ninth, McSorley took 11
