BUFFALO, NY – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team completed their quest for an 11
th-straight title Saturday at the MAAC Championships. The Broncs compiled 646.5 points to reclaim the trophy, nearly 50 points ahead of second-place Marist, who compiled at 599.
The Broncs got started in the 1,650-free where
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) took fifth place with a time of 15:52.48.
In the 200-back,
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross),
Christian Overton (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley), and
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) swam three-four-five, stopping the clock at 1:46.96, 1:47.75, and 1:49.50, respectively.
Joe Gewartowski (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) swam 45.80 and
Alex Boeckx (Folsom, PA/Ridley) swam 46.06 in the 100-free to take sixth and a tie for seventh.
David Cooper (Conroe, TX/Klein Oak) was fourth with a time of 2:00.79 in the 200-breast.
In the 200-fly,
Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) swam 1:50.44 to take fourth.
The Broncs closed out the championship in the 400-free relay.
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional), Racevicius,
Jack Ruggieri (Bellmawr, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) and Gewartowski combined to touch the wall in 3:04.00 for fifth place.

Matt Lequang (Plainsboro, NJ/Notre Dame) who finished 13

Cesar Alvarez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/The Ashton School), who placed 16
th.
