ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team concluded competition at the ECAC Championships on Sunday. The Broncs finished in fourth with a total of 334 points. The U.S. Naval Academy won the event with 767.5 points, Bucknell finished second with 390.5 points, and Columbia was third with 348 points.
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) began the day with a masterful swim in the 1,650-free. He touched the wall at 15:20.05, a new program record.
Christian Overton and
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) swam one-two in the 200-back, posting times of 1:46.19 and 1:48.87.
In the 100-free,
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) swam second in 44.40.
David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak) finished sixth in the 200-breast. He touched the wall at 2:00.50.
In the 200-fly,
Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) took third, stopping the clock at 1:50.16.
In the 3-meter diving competition,
Sean Binning (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) was third with a score of 287.75, and
Marcas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) took fifth with a score of 261.30.
