BUFFALO, NY – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team is leading the way on their pursuit of a tenth-straight conference championship after day two of competition at the 2022 MAAC Championships. The Broncs have 268 points, ahead of second-place Fairfield, who currently has 232 points.

Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) opened the day with a fourth-place finish for the Broncs in the 500-free with a time of 4:29.74.

Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) set a program record in the 200-IM with a winning time of 1:47.25. David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) also reached the A-Final, finishing sixth in 1:50.68.

Joe Gewartowski (Fort Washington, PA/UpperDublin) took third in the 50-free with a time of 20.35. He was joined in the A-Final by Jack Ruggieri (Bellmawr, NJ/Gloucester Catholic), who took fifth in 20.68, Alex Boeckx (Folsom, PA/Ridley), who took sixth in 20.71, and David McSorley (West Deptford, NJ/GCIT), who finished eighth in 20.88.

Sean Binning (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) was second in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 270.70 and Marcas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) finished fifth with a score of 239.30.

In the 200-free relay, Gewartowski, McSorley, Boeckx, and Ruggieri took third in 1:21.61.

- Brayden Murphy (Victor, NY/Victor Senior) was 13th in the B-Final of the 500-free.
- Iorizzo's and Murphy's times in the 500-free are National Invitational B-Cuts.
- Derek Fantano won the B-Final of the 200-IM for ninth, Adam Musselman (Timonium, MD/Loyola Blakefield) took 11th, and David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak) was 12th.
- All Five Broncs that scored in the 200-IM posted National Invitational B-Cut times.
- Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) took 12th and Webster Bozzo (Christansted, U.S. Virgin Islands/Good Hope Country Day) finished 13th in the B-Final of the 50-free.
- All six Broncs that scored in the 50-free posted National Invitational B-Cut times.
- The 200-free relay time is a National Invitational A-Cut.
