LEWISBURG, PA – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team sits in fifth place after the opening day at the Bucknell Invitational. The Broncs compiled 208.5 points.
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross),
Joe Gewartowski (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin),
Bobby Irwin (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East), and
Billy Ruddy (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) combined to swim 1:21.63 in the 200-free relay for fifth.
Individually, Racevicius took third and
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) placed eighth in the 200-IM with times of 1:49.01 and 1:52.02.
In the 3-meter diving event,
Sean Binning (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) was fourth with a score of 280.50.
Marcas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) finished seventh, scoring 255.60.
The Broncs closed out the day with an eighth-place finish in the 400-medley relay.
Nicholas Lane (Hackettstown, NJ/Lane Academy),
David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak),
Jack Ruggieri (Bellmawr, NJ/Gloucester Catholic), and Ruddy stopped the clock at 3:25.95.
