LEWISBURG, PA – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team remains third after two days of competition at the Bucknell Invitational. The Broncs have totaled 665.5 points through the second day of competition. First place Towson has earned 958 points.
The day started with the 200-medley relay, where
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross),
David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak),
Nicholas Lane (Hackettstown, NJ/Lane Academy), and
Joe Gewartowski (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) combined to go 1:29.89 for third place.
Racevicius won the 100-Back with a time of 48.03.
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) claimed second in the 400-IM with a time of 4:01.62.
Brayden Murphy (Victor, NY/Victor Senior) was fifth with a time of 4:05.68.
Christian Overton was eighth, touching the wall at 4:13.82.
Lane went 49.41 in the 100-Fly to earn fourth place. Cooper was third in the 100-Breast with a time of 55.85.
In the final event of the day, Racevicius,
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional),
Alex Boeckx (Folsom, PA/Ridley), and
Andrew Smolar (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) swam 6:46.19 in the 800-Free relay for a second-place finish.
