BUFFALO, NY – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team continued action at the 2020 MAAC Championships on Thursday evening. The four-day event takes place at the Bert Flickinger Athletic Center at Eerie Community College.

Rider is currently in first-place with 255.5 points. The Broncs brought home four medals on day two.

Freshman
Matt Lequang (Plainsboro, NJ/Notre Dame) won gold in the 500 free with a first-place time of 4:25.94 in the finals.

In the 3M diving event, junior
Dillon Walles (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands High School) delivered a dominant performance. He won a gold medal with a score of 359.60 in the finals.

Junior
Daniel Bonge (Allentown, PA/Salisbury High School) earned a silver medal in the 50 free with a second-place time of 20.48 in the finals.

The Rider 200 free relay quartet of Bonge,
Joe Gewartowski (Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin),
Rich Fortels (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) and
Jack Ruggieri (Bellmawr, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) won a gold medal with a time of 1:21.35.

Kyle Iorizzo came in fourth-place in the 500 free thanks to touching at 4:28.68 in the finals.

Lucas Racevicius finished in fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:49.74 in the finals.

Joe Gewartowski came in sixth in the 50 free thanks to registering a time of 20.75 in the finals.
