Fisher Shoots Even Par Sunday, Men's Golf Finishes 9th at Columbia Autumn Invitational

Fisher finishes tournament at +1, takes 15th individually

LAKE PLACID, NY – Rider University men's golf freshman Zachary Fisher (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) shot even-par 71 Sunday to finish one-over for the tournament and finish 15th individually, while the Broncs finished ninth of 11 teams, shooting 298 (+14) today and 886 (+34) for the tournament at the Columbia Autumn Invitational at Lake Placid Golf Club.

Senior Louie Giovacchini (Windermere, FL/Windermere) shot five-over 76 Sunday to finish 22nd for the tournament at four-over (217). Joey Lostumbo (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) also shot 76 Sunday to finish the tournament at +13 (47th), while Ryan Jones (Canton, NY/Canton Central) and Riley Richards (East Montpelier, VT/U-32 [Franklin Pierce]) shot 75 and 76, respectively, on Sunday to finish 54th (+16) and 56th (+18).


NOTES
- Host Columbia won the team title at 836 (-16), three strokes ahead of Dartmouth (839, -13).
- Dartmouth's Tyler Brand separated himself from the pack for individual medalist honors, shooting 196 (-17), nine strokes ahead of the field.
- The Broncs were one of two MAAC programs in competition, along with Niagara (915, +63, 11th). 
- Fisher's 13 birdies for the tournament led the Broncs, while Giovacchini also played 13 holes under par with 12 birdies and an eagle (2nd Round Saturday). Lostumbo also added nine birdies.

The Broncs return to action Sunday, Oct. 13, when they begin play in the three-day, three-round Bucknell Invitational from Lewisburg, PA.
