Men's Golf Wraps Up Bucknell Invitational in 16th Place

LEWISBURG, PA – Riley Richards' (East Montpelier, VT/U-32 [Franklin Pierce]) and Nathan Tallinder (Madison, NJ/Madison [Hartford]) each shot three-over 73 and the Rider University men's golf team shot 295 (+15) in Tuesday's third and final round to finish 16th of 19 teams at the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club. For the tournament, the Broncs shot 891 (+51).

Andrew Bilson (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) shot four-over 74 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at eight-over 218, good for a team-best 27th. Richards finished at 223 (+13), good for 59th, while Ryan Jones (Canton, NY/Canton Central) finished his tournament with a 75 (+5) for the day and a 224 (+14, 68th) for the tournament.  

Sebastian Pell (Center Rutland, VT/Rutland) also shot five-over 75 on the day and finished at 228 (+18, 86th). Competing as an individual, Luke Canino (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) finished his tournament with an eight-over 78 and a 234 (+24, 100th) for the tournament, while Tallinder's 73 on Tuesday gave him a 237 (+27, 104th) for the tournament.


NOTES
- Youngstown State took the team title at 857 (+17), five strokes ahead of the field.
- Niagara (869, +29, 6th), Manhattan (872, +32, 8th), Mount St. Mary's (884, +44, T-13th) and Canisius (886, +46, 15th) also represented the MAAC with the Broncs (891, +51, 16th) at the tournament.
- Colgate's Brayden Dock carded a final-round 65 (-5) to catch two-round leader Leo Chu of Holy Cross for medalist honors. Chu shot three-over 73 on Tuesday to finish at even-par 210, a stroke behind Dock, who finished at one-under 209.  
- Richards led the Broncs with three birdies Tuesday, while Bilson, Jones and Canino had two birdies apiece.  

UP NEXT
The Broncs wrap up the Fall season on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25 and 26, at the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club.
