Teagan Schein-Becker was named MAAC Track Athlete of the Week Wednesday by the conference after her performance over the past seven days. It is the second-straight honor for Schein-Becker, who also earned a MAAC Cross Country Runner of the Week nod during the fall.
Schein-Becker won the 1,500-meters at the prestigious Colonial Relays in 4:24.23 by over five seconds. Her run is the top time in the MAAC this season by over two seconds. It is an ECAC qualifier and also the 45th ranked time in the NCAA East Preliminary List, with the top 48 making the NCAA First Round. It is also the number two time in Rider history behind only
Kristin Siegle's record from a season ago. Schein-Becker also anchored the winning 4x1500-meter relay to a new Rider record by over 32 seconds. She made up 80 meters on the first place team on the anchor leg and split 4:21.
The Broncs are back on the track on Saturday when they travel to the Mason Spring Invitational hosted by George Mason University.
