DURHAM, NC – Behind a record-breaking performance from
Maddie Dischert, the Rider women's track and field team turned in a strong weekend across two meets, competing at both the Duke Invitational and the Bison Invitational on Saturday.
Duke Invitational
Rider's 4x100 relay squad delivered one of the top performances in program history, finishing inside the top 10 while clocking the No. 2 all-time mark at 46.52. The quartet of
Dylan Giloley,
Tamara Rawles,
Jianna Fairfax-Wheeler, and
Valencia Gosser powered the impressive result.
Giloley also added an individual highlight in the 200m, placing inside the top 20 with a time of 24.48.

Bison Invitational
Maddie Dischert led the Broncs with a record-breaking performance in the 5000m, crossing in 16:34.70 to set a new program record. She surpassed the previous mark of 16:38.61 set by
Grace Medei in 2025.
Liz Fis followed with a strong showing in the same event, posting the ninth-fastest time in program history at 17:13.69.
Makala Hansen also etched her name into the record books, recording the No. 6 time all-time in the 10,000m with a mark of 36:59.10.

"We had a really strong day today. The goal was to take advantage of the great competition and the weather. The women really stepped up and rose to the occasion.
Maddie had a huge night to set a new Rider Record in the 5000. She's having such a great season. She is competing on a whole new level this year and it's been very exciting to be along for the ride.
Liz had another great race in the 5000 to run the #9 mark all time. She is also having a great year.
Makala closed out the night with a big race in the 10k. It is the #6 mark all time and a huge PR. It is a tough race and she did a really nice job in handling this challenge."
