Baseball Signs Seven for 2024

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University Head Baseball Coach Dr. Barry Davis announced the commitments of seven players for the 2023-24 academic year. The group will join the Broncs for the 2024 season.
 
"We added seven quality people who can also play baseball," said Davis. "All seven will be excellent fits in our system, and their addition will further drive our program forward and upward. We are excited to have these young men."


 2Matt Camp – RHP/Holland, PA/Council Rock South
 
Camp will join the Broncs from Council Rock South High School. A 2021 All-SOL pitcher and Carpenter Cup selection, he plans on majoring in business.
 







3Jacob Dorety – RHP/Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township
 
Dorety was a 4-year varsity starter at Burlington Township High School. He was awarded First-Team All-Liberty Division and First-Team All-Burlington County in 2022, while earning a spot on the Burlington County Carpenter Cup team. He finished his junior year with a 1.17 ERA and 50 strike outs. 



 





4Jackson Kerr – RHP/3B/White Marsh, MD/Calvert Hall
 
Kerr was a four-year varsity player at Calvert Hall, where he averaged .290 at the plate. Ranked the 14th pitcher in the State of Maryland by Perfect game, he also plays summer ball for US Elite National.



 





5Matthew Leahy– INF/Woolwich, NJ/Gloucester Catholic
 
Leahy was a member of two conference champion teams at Gloucester Catholic. Last season, Leahy earned Third-Team All-South Jersey, First-Team All-Conference, and First-Team All-NJ Non Public honors.

 







6Griffin Puvel– RHP/OF/Thurmont, MD/St. John's Catholic Prep
 
Puvel was a four-year varsity player, splitting time between Dematha and St. John's Catholic Prep. He is a two-time member of the National Honor Society.
 









7Nick Shuhet– C/OF/Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes
 
Shuhet will join the Broncs from Mountain Lakes High School. He plans to major in business.
 









8Joe Tiroly– 3B/SS/Yardley, PA/Pennsbury
 
Tiroly will be joining the Broncs from Pennsbury High School. The 6'0", 190-pound infielder plans to major in Film and Television.
