Baseball Looks to Stay Hot in MAAC Play Hosting Canisius This Weekend

- Rider's offense has been red-hot, batting .292 as a team to rank among the top in the MAAC, with six starters hitting above .300.
- Neri leads the way with a .415 average, totaling 34 hits, 22 runs, seven doubles, 25 RBI, and four home runs, while pacing the conference in both hits and RBI.
- Erich Hartmann has a team-best eight doubles and is batting .363 with 29 hits, 17 runs, and two home runs.
- Gallagher continues to produce at the plate and show strong discipline, leading the team with 20 walks while batting .328 with 21 hits and 23 runs scored.
- Defensively, Rider has been elite, leading the nation with a .987 fielding percentage and just eight errors on the season, according to the latest NCAA rankings.

- Eight starters return on offense, led by 2025 All-MAAC First Team selection Kyle Neri and MAAC All-Rookie Team honoree Charley Magoulick.

- Dr. Barry Davis returns as Acting Head Coach for the 2026 campaign. Over 20 seasons leading the program, Davis has built Rider into a perennial MAAC contender, winning four conference tournament titles, two regular-season championships, and guiding the Broncs to 13 conference tournament appearances. He owns a 1,028-699 career record.

Last Time Out
- The Broncs are coming off an 11-10 battle on the road at Saint Joseph's on Mar. 25. 
- Rider had the tying run on base in the final inning but couldn't push it across, snapping a six-game winning streak.
- Eliot Medlock highlighted the effort with a grand slam.

History vs. Canisius
- Canisius leads the all-time series, 32-23, dating back to 2008.
- Rider has won each of the last two series between the teams.

Scouting the Golden Griffins
- Canisius enters the weekend at 5-13 overall and 2-4 in MAAC play.
- The Golden Griffins are coming off a 2-1 series win over Merrimack at home from Mar. 20-22.
- Offensively, Canisius is batting .226 as a team, led by Thomas Zwirecki, who is hitting .309 with 17 hits, four doubles, 13 RBI, and two home runs.
- On the mound, Felix Morin has been the team's top arm, tossing 32.1 innings while allowing 36 hits and 18 earned runs, with 26 strikeouts and a 1-3 record.
