Men's Track & Field Earns Three Medals on Day One of the MAAC Outdoor Championships

The Broncs are currently in third-place through six scored events

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Rider University men's track and field team opened action at the 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Kessler Stadium on the campus of Monmouth University.

Heading into the final day of competition, the Broncs are in third-place with 36 points through six scored events. Monmouth leads with 100 points and Iona is in second-place with 50 points.

Freshman Anthony Ragusa (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) picked up a silver medal with a second-place finish in the javelin throw. He recorded an IC4A-qulaifying throw of 64.36m.

In the long jump, freshman Ayo Oyewole (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) earned a bronze medal for the Broncs in the long jump with mark of 7.21m.

Senior Matt Kraemer (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive) picked up a silver medal in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.43m.

- Michael Horn finished eighth in the long jump with a mark of 6.89m.
- Kyle Poetsch came in seventh-place in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.23m.
- Vijesh Jadoo ended up in eighth in the pole vault at 4.10m.
- Will Spector landed in sixth-place in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:32.31.
- Greg Poloso finished fifth in the javelin throw with a toss of 62.38m.
