PHILADELPHIA, PA – Freshman
Isaac Roberts made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut, setting a meet record in the 60m hurdles to lead the Rider men's indoor track and field team at the Penn Opener on Saturday.
Roberts clocked an impressive 8.00, the fastest time in meet history and the sixth-fastest mark in program history. He was joined on the podium by teammate
Mamadi Diawara, who secured third place in 8.15.
In the field events,
Josh Burgess claimed second in the long jump with a leap of 6.88m, while
Damere Lassiter earned a victory in the weight throw, topping the field with a mark of 16.34m.
