WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Rider is in its first season under new Head Coach
Jeff Rotondo. In April of 2019, Rotondo became the ninth coach in program history. He came to Lawrenceville after a highly successful run as the Head Coach of Division II Holy Family. Rotondo earned his first career win at the helm of the program on September 7th versus Norfolk State. Last weekend he earned his 100th career win as a Head Coach after the Broncs defeated Marist, 3-0.

- Rider was picked to finish sixth in the MAAC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll for the second straight season. The Broncs also saw senior
Rachelle Runyon named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team as a libero.

- Freshman
Morgan Romano has made an immediate impact with the team this fall. She has been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week a conference-best nine times already in 2019. She has also been named the MAAC Player of the Week twice this season.

- Romano currently leads the MAAC in total kills (405), kills per set (4.55), total points (459) and points per set (5.16). She has also registered a team-high eight double-doubles this autumn. Romano is third in the nation in total points and she also ranks fifth in all of Division I in kills.

- She has become the first Bronc freshman to record over 400 kills since Amy Ford had in 1992. Her 405 kills entering the weekend are the seventh-most in a single season in program history. It is the most since Jaclyn Levi had 427 in 2004. Â

- As a team, Rider leads the MAAC in total blocks (186.5) and blocks per set (2.10). Â

Rachelle Runyon has been named the MAAC Libero of the Week three times this year. Runyon has 425 digs this season and she is averaging 4.78 digs per set. She recently became the fifth player in program history to record over 1,400 career digs. She currently has 1,465 digs and she is 105 digs away from moving into fourth-place all-time at Rider. This year, she has registered 20 or more digs in a match 10 times. Â

- Sophomore setter
Anilee Sher has recorded seven double-doubles for the Broncs in 2019. She leads the MAAC in total service aces (38) and service aces per set (0.49). This year she has a conference-leading 820 assists and she is averaging 10.51 assists per set. In her young career, she already has 1,872 assists which ranks seventh in program history. She is 27 assists away from moving into sixth-place in program history in career assists.

- Canisius leads the all-time series with Rider, 29-10. The Golden Griffins have had the edge of late, winning each of the last four meetings. The Broncs are looking to avenge a five-set loss to Canisius in Buffalo in early October.

- Niagara leads the all-time series with the Broncs, 23-14. Rider has won two of the last three meetings between the two squads thanks to sweeping the regular-season series in 2018. The Broncs are looking to avenge a 3-1 setback to the Purple Eagles in western New York earlier this season.
