BERLIN, MD – Louie Giovacchini (Windermere, FL/Windermere) sits tied atop the individual leaderboard after shooting two-under 70 in the first round at the Battle at Rum Pointe Friday. As a team, the Broncs are tied for ninth at 303 (+15).

Giovacchini is tied with Fairfield's Peter Crowe and Iona's Freddie Tucker. His round featured 16 par's and two birdies.

Andrew Bilson (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) posted the Broncs' next-best score at 74 (+2), while Joey Lostumbo (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) shot 78 (+6). The Broncs also counted Zachary Fisher's (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) 81 (+9), while Jacob Delaney (Stockton, CA/Saint Mary's) also competed with an 83 (+11).

NOTES
- Colgate and Fairfield each shot even-par 288 to pace the team field.  
- The Broncs are one of six MAAC schools in competition, joining the Stags, host Iona (292, +4, T-3^rd), Mount St. Mary's (292, +4, T-3^rd), Manhattan (300, +12, 5^th) and Saint Peter's (306, +18, T-12^th).   
- Bilson had a team-high three birdies on the day, while Giovacchini and Delaney had two apiece.
