URBANA, MD — The Rider University Golf team (+22) currently sits in 11th place in the 17 team Carpetbagger Classic as they open up their spring action.

Sebastian Pell 74 (+2) leads the way for the Broncs. He birdied three of his first 9 holes and currently sits right inside the top 20 after Day one. Andrew Bilson 76 (+4) shot par through the first nine and has three birdies as well. Robert Canino 80 (+8) and Riley Richards 80 (+8) have both placed right inside the top 75 individually. Canino birdied holes four and five, as well as a third hole on 16. Mount St. Marys (+2) Monmouth (+5) and Colgate (+7) lead the way in the team standings after Day one.

The Broncs will wrap up their action on Sunday, with the final 18 holes starting at 9:30 a.m.
