BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The NEC announced its selections for weekly field hockey awards and Rider University's Valeria Perales was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week, after her performance over the past seven days.
 
Perales scored twice in both of Rider's win over Wagner to close out the regular season, including the overtime game-winner that secured a berth in the NEC Tournament for the Broncs. The senior led the Broncs this season with 13 goals and six assists.
 
The Broncs are back in action for the first round of the NEC Tournament Thursday with the Broncs taking on the host Stags of Fairfield at 11 a.m.
