BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The NEC announced its selections for weekly field hockey awards and Rider University's Valeria Perales was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week, after her performance over the past seven days.
 
Perales scored twice in both of Rider's victories in the past week. Against Mercyhurst, the senior scored the game's second and fifth goals, helping the Broncs build a 5-0 lead in a conference game eventually won 5-1. In Rider's win at La Salle, Perales scored the game-tying goal with just over nine minutes to play, followed by putting home the game-winner in double overtime.
 
The Broncs are back in action Friday, when they host Saint Francis. Game time is 7 p.m.
