Game Recap: Field Hockey |

Regnart Makes 15 saves, but Field Hockey Falls in Overtime

TOWSON, MD – The Rider University field hockey team forced an extra period Sunday afternoon, but ultimately fell, 1-0, at Towson. The Broncs fall to 0-4 on the season, while the Tiger improve to 2-2.

The Tigers put pressure on the Broncs from the start, pouring in shots against the Rider cage, but Jade Regnart (Cape Town, South Africa/Fairmont) was up to the task, stopping six shots in the first quarter and seven in the second to keep the game scoreless going into the half.

The Broncs settled in allowing just one shot on goal in the second half, but could not produce on the offensive end, sending the game into the extra session.

Late in the first overtime, Towson moved the ball into the circle, and got a shot that Regnart saved, but the Tigers converted on the rebound for the game winner.
