WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Teagan Schein-Becker is making her third appearance at the NCAA Preliminary Championships after reaching the quarterfinals of the 1500m in 2023 and 2024.
  • Schein-Becker continued her impressive season winning the 1500m and the 800m, while also helping the 4x800m relay team win gold at the 2024 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on her way to being named the MAAC Track Most Outstanding Performer for the second consecutive year.
  • Schein-Becker will compete in the third of four heats in the first round. The 1500m heats will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and the top five from each heat plus the next four fastest times will advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. where the top five from each of the two semifinals along with the next two fastest finishers will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, OR.
  • Schein-Becker owns the seventh-fastest time in the field this season with her winning run of 4:09.87 at the Penn Relays last month.
  • Both Rider Men's and Women's Track and Field won the 2023-24 MAAC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
