Men's Golf Wraps Up First Round at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, PA – The Rider University men's golf team wrapped up the first of three rounds at the Bucknell Invitational with a 298 (+18), good for a tie for 17th of 18 teams Sunday. Freshman Andrew Bilson (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) led the Broncs with a 73 (+3, T-54th).

Zachary Fisher (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) was next for Rider at 74 (+4, T-65th), a stroke ahead of Jacob Delaney (Stockton, CA/Saint Mary's)(75, +5, T-70th).  Louie Giovacchini (Windermere, FL/Windermere) and Joey Lostumbo (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) both shot 76 (+6, T-78th) to round out the Rider line-up.  


NOTES
- Colgate leads the team scoring after shooting 281 (+1), a stroke ahead of Youngstown State and St. John's (282, +2).
- Le Moyne's Owen Corby sits atop the individual leaderboard after shooting a 66 (-4), a shot ahead of Wagner's Thomas Choi (67, -3).
- The Broncs are one of four MAAC programs in competition. Canisius led the group with a 290 (+10, 13th), while Niagara shot 296 (+16, 15th) and Mount St. Mary's shot 297 (+17, 16th).
- The Broncs' round featured five birdies – two from Giovacchini and one each from Fisher, Bilson and Delaney.

The Broncs return to action Monday, when they play the second of three rounds at the Bucknell Invitational from Lewisburg, PA.
