- The Rider University women's soccer team returns home to battle with reigning MAAC champion Quinnipiac following a pair of games on the road vs. Siena and Fairfield, splitting the MAAC road trip.
- Saturday's match is Alumni Day. In addition to the gathering of former Rider women's soccer student-athletes, the inaugural Broncs team from 1997 will be recognized at halftime.

– Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) made nine saves. However, the Rider University women's soccer team fell at Fairfield, 2-1, Saturday night.Â
- The first half was the Sciancalepore show as the reigning MAAC Defensive Player of the Week stopped seven shots in the first 45 minutes, keeping things scoreless going into halftime.Â
- Logan Racine tied the team lead in goals as she netted her second of the year.

- Rider leads the all-time series with the Bobcats with a 5-4-2 mark. However, Quinnipiac has won each of the last two matchups vs. the Broncs.Â
- Last year, Quinnipiac won by the largest margin of victory in the all-time series, taking down Rider 5-0 in Hamden.

- Quinnipiac women's soccer was selected as the preseason MAAC favorite following their MAAC title win in 2022.Â
- Quinnipiac saw four student-athletes named to the preseason All-MAAC team, as graduate students Markela Bejlari and Kayla Mingachos, as well as seniors Courtney Chochol and Emely van der Vliet, earned the honor.Â
- The Bobcats went 15-3-1 (9-1 MAAC) last season, capturing their first-ever MAAC title in Hamden.Â
- The Bobcats enter Saturday's match winners of four of their last five and undefeated in MAAC play since Oct 15th, 2022.
- Quinnipiac took down Canisius, 2-0, in their last match as the Bobcats received goals from Olivia Scott and Milena Branco en route to the victory over the Golden Griffins.

The Sciancalepore Report
- Rider was highlighted by Preseason All-MAAC selection Ellie Sciancalepore, as they were picked to finish fifth in the MAAC by the league's coaches. Quinnipiac is the preseason favorite, receiving 6 of 11 first-place votes and 115 points.Â
-Sciancalepore, was a massive bright spot for the Broncs last year earning a First Team All-MAAC selection, and winning the MAAC Golden Glove award for top Keeper in the conference. Sciancalepore posted a 1.32 GAA and an .829 save percentage with six shutouts playing every minute of every game the Broncs played in 2022.
-The 2022 MAAC Golden Glove recipient was stellar in the Broncs' win over Siena, making seven saves in the shutout victory which is the second most for her on the year on route to winning MAAC Defensive Player of the Week on 9/18/23.
- The clean sheet was her third of the year, giving her 13 during her Rider career and moving her into a tie for second-most all-time in Broncs history. The win is also the 19th of her career, which is tied for 5th all-time at Rider.
- Sciancalepore currently ranks second in the MAAC in GAA (1.00) and save percentage (.833). Her .833 save percentage ranks in the top 50 in all of Division One,
About 2022
- Rider finished last season 8-7-3 and 5-5 in MAAC play clinching a post-season bid however falling to 5th-seeded Canisius in the opening round by PKs
