LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University Field Hockey Head Coach Alicia Govannicci has announced the hiring of Ally Tarantino as Assistant Coach ahead of the 2023 season.
"I am excited to add Ally to our program," said Govannicci. "Her energy, values, and work ethic make her a terrific addition to our coaching staff. She brings a lot of knowledge, specifically in goalkeeping. We are excited to welcome her into our Rider Field Hockey family!"
Tarantino recently earned her graduate degree from Monmouth University, where she was a five-year member of the field hockey team. During her career, Tarantino compiled a 7-2 record in goal, with a 2.13 goals against average and .585 save percentage.
Off the field, Tarantino has been involved in coaching numerous camps and clinics, including the Northwestern Field Hockey Camp led by US Field Hockey Hall of Famer, Tracey Fuchs. Monmouth's 2021 NJAIAW Woman of the Year Nominee, Tarantino was a four-year member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
