LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ– Tyler Klinsky secured his 5th bonus point win, however the Rider University Wrestling team fell 27-14 in their dual vs #6 Michigan on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Rider moves to 1-2 overall and Michigan moves to 2-0 on the year in duals.
Tyler Klinsky dominated his bout at 125 picking up his fourth tech fall defeating Christian Tanefeu 26-9. Klinsky dominated the bout after a dominant second period scoring 11 points in the second to go up 12-5 into the third. In the final two minutes, Klinsky would step on the gas pedal scoring the tech fall with a 14-point third period.
Rider would also get another strong showing from #16 Quinn Kinner as the Mullica Hill native would move to 3-0 taking down Dylan Gilcher 5-2. With the win Kinner remains perfect in duals after going 2-0 last weekend vs Indiana and SIUE.
The Broncs rounded out the day as #29 Richie Koehler picked up a forfeit win at 133 to wrap up competition for Rider.
