BLOOMINGTON, IN– #20
Quinn Kinner kicked off his season with a massive win over #6 Graham Rooks, but the Rider University Wrestling team would fall in their 2023-24 dual debut, 27-15 to Indiana.
Kinner dominated in the 1st period shooting out to a 6-2 advantage. Kinner would hold the same lead in the 2nd controlling the entirety of the period scoring over 3 minutes of riding time in the middle frame. Kinner would continue to hold strong in the final period and would secure the highest upset win of his Rider career vs Rooks.
The Broncs started the dual incredibly strong as #29 David Szuba's forfeit win at 285 and #28 Richie Koehler decision win at 133 over Cayden Rooks (6-5) put Rider out to a 9-3 lead through the first three bouts of the dual. Rider extended the lead with wins from Kinner and Colton Washleski but the Hoosiers would sweep Rider in the final three bouts at 174, 184, and 197 winning all three with bonus points.

- Kinner opened up the year with a top 10 victory over #6 Graham Rooks, the victory is his highest win vs a ranked opponent with his previous best being over his former Ohio State teammate #14 Dylan D'Emilio.
