Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Blanks Central Connecticut on the Road, 2-0

Al Masude, Kotch score goals in clean sheet

NEW BRITAIN, CTAdel Al Masude (Brussels, Belgium/GO Lyceum Gent) scored for the second-straight game and Dylan Kotch (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) tallied his first-career goal as the Rider University men's soccer team defeated Central Connecticut, 2-0, on the road Wednesday night. With the win, the Broncs (1-4) snap an early season skid, while the Blue Devils are now 2-4.

The Broncs wasted little time, taking the lead in the ninth minute as Jack McGeechan (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands Regional) crossed into the box, where Al Masude knocked it in from close range to give Rider a 1-0 lead.

Rider maintained the same 1-0 lead for nearly 80 minutes until Guillaume Veinante's (Bayonne, France/Faculte des métier de Rennes) goal kick found Lenny Cidolit's (Montpellier, France/Montpellier Univ.) head and it was further headed on by Jeremy Peterson (Paris, France/University Paris Sorbonne) to the feet of Kotch, who rocketed a shot from 20 yards out from the top, right corner of the 18-yard box for his first-career goal and a 2-0 lead.
