Men's Soccer Falls in Season Opener at Seton Hall

Veinante makes seven saves

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Senior goalkeeper Guillaume Veinante (Bayonne, France/Faculte des métier de Rennes) made seven saves, but the Rider University men's soccer team couldn't overcome three first-half goals in a 3-0 season-opening loss at Seton Hall Thursday night. With the loss, the Broncs start the season at 0-1, while the Pirates improve to 1-0.

The Pirates scored their goals in quick succession in the ninth, 15th and 24th minutes and the Broncs could not recover. While the Pirates wouldn't score again, Rider only got four shots off for the game, with just one on target.
