SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Senior goalkeeper
Guillaume Veinante (Bayonne, France/Faculte des métier de Rennes) made seven saves, but the Rider University men's soccer team couldn't overcome three first-half goals in a 3-0 season-opening loss at Seton Hall Thursday night. With the loss, the Broncs start the season at 0-1, while the Pirates improve to 1-0.
The Pirates scored their goals in quick succession in the ninth, 15
th and 24
th minutes and the Broncs could not recover. While the Pirates wouldn't score again, Rider only got four shots off for the game, with just one on target.
