Men's Golf 10th of 15 Teams Following 1st Round at Wildcat Spring Invitational

van der Nat shoots even-par 70, sits tied for 6th

VILLANOVA, PA – Rick van der Nat (Noordwijk, The Netherlands/Visser' t Hooft) shot an even-par 70 and sits tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard, while the Rider University men's golf team is 10th of 15 teams following an opening-round 296 at the Wildcat Spring Invitational, hosted by Villanova at Radnor Valley Country Club Monday.

Jack Urban (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) was next for the Broncs at a three-over 73, while Austin Devereux (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) was a stroke back at four-over 74. Louie Giovacchini (Windermere, FL/Windermere) and Connor Bekefi (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) rounded on the Broncs' competitors Monday at 79 and 80, respectively.

- Marquette leads the team scoring following the opening round at 281, four strokes ahead of St. Johns's (285) for second and 10 strokes ahead of LIU (291) for third. A bunched-up field of Delaware (292), William & Mary (292), Bucknell (292), Lafayette (294), Binghamton (295) and Lehigh (295) finished the round ahead of the Broncs (296).
- Rider stands ahead of Villanova (297), La Salle (298), Colgate (298), Saint Joseph's (300) and Villanova's B Team (310).
- Lehigh's David Hurly leads the individual leaderboard at three-under 67.
- van der Nat had 14 pars on the day, second-most among competitors in the round.

The Broncs play the final round at Villanova's Wildcat Spring Invitational Tuesday at Radnor Valley Country Club.
