CLEVELAND, OH –
David Szuba (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) picked up two victories at 285, but the Rider University wrestling team fell against MAC opponents Cleveland State (22-16) and Edinboro (24-18) Saturday afternoon at CSU. The Vikings improve to 6-4 (2-1 MAC), while the Fighting Scots improve to 2-5 (1-2 MAC). Rider is now 1-4 (1-3 MAC).
Szuba won both his bouts on the day, his first win coming against Cleveland State's John Kelby. He won a 8-2 decision. His second individual victory came as he defeated Edinboro's Max Millin by major decision, 15-6.
Quinn Kinner (Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway) also claimed two victories. One came when he won by fall over Edinboro's Gabe Willochell in 1:34. Kinner's victory against Cleveland State came from a forfeit.
Tyler Klinsky (Middletown, NJ/Middletown North) earned one win against Edinboro after getting a fall at 6:34 over Chris Merlo. #28
Richie Koehler took one victory after he earned a major decision over Cleveland State's Jake Manley.
Alec Bobchin (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) picked up a win with a decision over Edinboro's PJ Gohn, 3-1.
Shane Reitsma (Howell, NJ/Howell) earned one win against Cleveland State's Anthony Rice when he earned a decision of 7-4.

- The Vikings chipped away at the Rider lead in the all-time series, which is now 5-3. The Broncs had won the last three meetings.
- The Fighting Scots extended their lead in the all-time series with the the Broncs to 9-4. The win snapped a three-match Rider winning streak.
- The Broncs return to action on Jan. 29, when they host MAC opponent Bloomsburg in Alumni Gymnasium. The match is slated to begin at noon.
