Women's Soccer Hosts Monmouth Wednesday Night

Broncs take on perennially-powerful Hawks on Ben Cohen Field

What You Need To Know
- Wednesday evening's game will be broadcast live on BroncVision.
- Rider returns to Ben Cohen field after three road games.
- Rider is currently 2-5-1, 0-2 MAAC on the season. The Broncs' most recently fell at Fairfield, 3-0, following a 2-1 overtime heartbreaker at defending MAAC Champion Siena.  
-Rider opened MAAC play against reigning MAAC Champion Siena, where Makenzie Rodrigues added her first assist for the season when Chloe Fisher scored her fourth goal for the season.
-Against Fairfield, Ailis Martin led the Broncs with three shots with one on goal, and Hannah Freeman put both of her shots on goal during the game.
-Chloe Fisher leads the Broncs with 12 points coming from four goals and four assists, while Makenzie Rodrigues has a total of nine points resulting from four goals and one assist. Fisher and Rodriguez are both tied for the most goals for the team, while Fisher leads the team with assists.
-Ellie Sciancalepore has posted 47 saves in 647 minutes in the net this season and has a save percentage of 0.746.
- Rider is 4-14-3 all-time against Monmouth. The last meeting between the teams occurred in the spring of 2021, where the Hawks came away with a 2-1 victory.
- Monmouth is currently 6-3, 2-0 MAAC, with wins over Lehigh (1-0), NJIT (2-0), Delaware (2-0), Bucknell (3-2) and MAAC opponents Iona (2-1 OT) and Quinnipiac (2-1), and losses to #16 Rutgers (6-0), Providence (3-1), and Harvard (4-1).
- Lauren Karabin is leading Monmouth with 11 points for the season with five goals and one assist so far. Ava Allen and Jill Conklin have each added two goals for the season as well. Jessie Rossman leads the Hawks in assists.
-Rebecca Winslow has seen 418 minutes of action in the net for the Hawks and posted 16 saves in the 2021 season so far.
-Maddie Ogden has played 408 minutes and posted 15 saves for the Hawks in the net this season so far.
- In the season opener, Makenzie Rodrigues (Seattle, WA/Forest Ridge) and Chloe Fisher (Warrington, England/Cronton Sixth Form College [Kansas State]) scored the Broncs two goals.
- Against St. Francis Brooklyn, Chloe Fisher led the offense, scoring a goal herself, as well as assisting on both of Makenzie Rodrigues' goals and Emily Deluisi's (Philadephia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) goal to rack up three assists.
- Lindsey Maslow (Hanover, MA/Hanover) and  Nikki Arrington (Middletown, MA/Masconomet Regional) also contributed assists in the 4-2 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn.
- Against Villanova, Makenzie Rodrigues scored the lone goal that Rider had in the game.
-Chloe Fisher and Camryn Dees' (Pickerington, OH/Pickerington H.S. North) both assisted with the goal in the game versus Villanova.
-Against Temple, Nikki Arrington (Middleton, MA/Masconomet Regional) scored her first goal of the season and Ailis Martin (Mahopac, NY/ Mahopac) recorded her first assist of the season in the tie-game against Temple.
-NJIT fell to Rider 2-1 after Hannah Freeman (Lowville, NY/Lowville) scored her first goal, and Chloe Fisher scored her third for the season. Lindsey Maslow (Hanover, MA/Hanover) added an assist with Fisher's goal.
-In the game against NJIT, goalkeeper Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) made both a 50-50 save and a diving save to help secure the Rider victory.
-Chloe Fisher led the offense against Bucknell, posting five shots for the team, three of which were on goal.
-Rachel Ross (Yorktown Heights, NY/Somers) has also made one start in net for the Broncs this season, posting five saves in a win over St. Francis Brooklyn.
-The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Niamh Cashin (Nottingham, England/All Saints Academy) and Makenzie Rodrigues were selected for the Preseason All-MAAC Team.
-Makenzie Rodrigues is the reigning MAAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year, sharing the honor with Karabin.
