Katie Craig, a member of Rider's first women's soccer team, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. Born on June 5, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Kathleen A. Watts Craig and the late Thomas Donald Craig.
 
Craig graduated as Rider's second-leading scorer and second on the program's all-time assist list after playing the first three years of the program's existence.
 
Katie was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Nora Catherine Craig, and is survived by her mother, Kathleen A. Craig; her brothers, Tommy Craig, Kenny Craig (with his wife Annette), and Christopher Craig (with his wife Jenny); her sister, Jennifer Smith (with her husband Rob); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
