SOUTH KENT, CT – Graduate men's golfer Austin Devereux (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) shot a two-under 70 and the Rider University men's golf team sits eighth with a 301 after the first round at the Hartford Hawks Invitational at Bull's Bridge Golf Club. Devereux is also tied for eighth individually. The second round was suspended due to darkness. Round 3 will follow the completion of Round 2 tomorrow.

Jack Urban (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) was the Broncs' next-best finisher at four-over 76, followed by Nick Hano (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks West) at five-over 77 and Rick van der Nat (Noordwijk, The Netherlands/Visser 't Hooft) at six-over 78. Connor Bekefi (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) rounded out the Broncs' competitors at eight-over 80.

NOTES
- UCF leads the team standings with a four-under 284. The Knights were the only team to finish under par, with UConn four strokes back at even par 288.
- Sacred Heart's Marcus Lim and UCF's Nicholas Estrada are tied atop the individual leaderboard at four under 68.
- On the same course in the last iteration of the Hartford Hawks Invitational, the Broncs shattered their program record with a 278 in the middle round of the 2019 tournament. Due to COVID, the tournament was not held last year.
