Divorra Earns Second Weekly Conference Award This Season

SOMERSET, NJ – The NEC announced its selections for weekly field hockey awards on Monday and Julia Divorra of the Rider University field hockey team was selected as Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The senior from Terrassa, Spain was awarded the honor for the sixth time in her career.
 
Divorra assisted on the Broncs first goal in a 2-0 win over Georgetown to open action during the week. Against Towson, she scored a pair of goals, including her second overtime game-winning goal of the season. For the year, Divorra leads the NEC and ranks sixth nationally with six goals.
 
In addition, Kaitlyn Tomas was named an NEC Prime Performer. Tomas had her first shutout of the season against Georgetown. She followed up with a six-save performance against Towson to earn a victory.
 
The Broncs are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Drexel for a game at noon.
