STATEN ISLAND, NY –
Natya Glasco won two events to lead the Rider University women's track and field team in the season-opening meet at the Fastrack Season Opener at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Lydia Wallace and
Savanna Marcantonio also won events in the opener.
Glasco won the shot put with a mark of 13.40m, while teammates
Samantha Kamara and
Joyce Omozee took second and third place with marks of 12.62m and 12.33m, respectively. Glasco also took first place in the weight throw with a mark of 17.12m,
Angelina Tapia took second with a mark of 14.48, and
Danielle Lambert took third with a mark of 14.41m.
Lydia Wallace took first place in the 800m run with a time of 2:22.07, and
Stephanie Tomkowich took third with 2:24.13.
Savanna Marcantonio won the high jump with a mark of 1.60m, and
Khalin Hemingway took second with a mark of 1.55m.
