Quinn Bithell & Kristin Siegle picked up weekly accolades

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Two members of the Rider University women's track and field team earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly honors on Monday afternoon as announced by the league office.

Senior Kirstin Siegle (Estell Manor, NJ/Buena Regional) was tabbed as the MAAC Women's Track Performer of the Week and classmate Quinn Bithell (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May) was honored as the MAAC Women's Field Performer of the Week.

Siegle picked up weekly accolades for the second time during the indoor season, while Bithell garnered league-wide weekly distinction for the first time in her career.

"Siegle are Bithell are great success stories for our program," Rider Head Coach Bob Hamer said. "They have both made themselves into great athletes in our program. They are enjoying a lot of success right now and they both are crucial to our success as a team."

Siegle had another strong performance for the Broncs last week at the Albany Invitational. In the one-day event at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, Siegle came in third in the 800 with an ECAC-qualifying time of 2:13.90. It is the second-fastest in Rider history in the event and it is currently the second-best time in the MAAC this season

Bithell had a breakout performance last week for the Broncs at the Albany Invitational. At the one-day event at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, Bithell finished second in the high jump with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 1.70m. She currently has the top mark in the event in the MAAC.
