LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released the 2019-20 Indoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday morning. The poll, which is voted on by the league's Head Coaches, saw the Rider men picked second with 56 points and the Bronc women also came in second-place with 74 points.

"We are excited for the start of the season next week," Rider Head Coach
Bob Hamer said. "We believe we have two strong teams that are capable to compete with the best in the MAAC."

The Monmouth men topped the poll with 64 total points thanks to earning all eight first-place votes. Following the Broncs in the standings was Iona with 46 points and Manhattan with 41 points. Siena (30 points) rounded out the top-five in the poll and Marist (25 points), Saint Peter's (15 points) and Canisius (11 points) were behind the Saints.

On the women's side, Monmouth edged Rider with 79 points. The Hawks had seven first-place votes and the Broncs picked up the final two first-place votes. Manhattan (58 points) was in third and the Jaspers were followed by Quinnipiac (56 points) and Iona (46 points).

Rounding out the women's poll was Marist (35 points) in sixth, Siena (28 points) in seventh-place, Saint Peter's (15 points) and Canisius (14 points).

Rider begins the 2019-20 indoor track season on Friday, December 6, at the Fastrack Season Opener in Staten Island, New York.
