LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Rider University Women's Soccer Head Coach
Drayson Hounsome has announced the commitments of five student-athletes for the 2020 season. Jaden Terrana (Las Vegas, NV/Bishop Gorman), Hannah Freeman (Lowville, NY/Lowville), Jennifer Skrumbis (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Poly), Rachel Ross (Yorktown Heights, NY/Somers) and Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) will each join the Broncs for the 2020-21 academic year.

Jaden Terrana
Forward – Las Vegas, NV/Bishop Gorman
The top striker in the state of Nevada as a senior, Terrana was a prolific goal scorer and 4-year starter at Bishop Gorman High School where she broke the school record for goals (84) and assists (77). She led the BGHS Gaels to two State Championships and was a three-time All-State honoree. Terrana was named All-Desert Region, All-Southern Nevada, All-Southwest League and was a two-time All-American. Academically, Terrana was a four-time selection to the All-State Academic Team. At the club level, Terrana played in the USYS National League with Las Vegas Sports Academy, leading her team to the 2019 Far West Championship.

"Jaden is an explosive and dangerous attacker who looks to run at defenders. She is a talented, exciting player with good balance. Jaden will wear the #9 jersey next year and has all the attributes to score and create goals in the MAAC."

Hannah Freeman
Midfield – Lowville, NY/Lowville
A center midfielder, Freeman was a five-year starter for the Lowville, having joined the team as an eighth grader. She led the Red Raiders to five consecutive Frontier League Championships, leading the team in goal scoring (27) in her senior year. Freeman is a three-time New York State (NYS) Section 3 All-Star, Frontier League All-Star and as junior was named Second Team All-State and the 2018 New York State Section 3 Player of the Year. At the club level, Freeman played in the USYS National League with Syracuse Development Academy, captaining the team to three-consecutive New York State Championships and two appearances in the Regional semifinals.

"Hannah is an excellent box-to-box midfielder and natural leader on the field. She has good movement in the midfield, is comfortable with both feet and can score goals. Hannah will wear the #2 jersey as a Bronc and will be a great addition to our midfield unit."

Jennifer Skrumbis
Forward – Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Poly
A forward from Long Beach, California, Skrumbis played in the Cal South Regional League with the Huntington Beach CDA Slammers. As team captain, Skrumbis led her team to the quarterfinals of the Far West Regionals in 2019, qualifying for the USYS National League.
Hounsome on Skrumbis:
"Jenny is a fast and explosive forward with a great change of pace when running with the ball. She puts defenders on the back foot, and has the ability to break down opponents with her tight dribbling. Jenny will wear the #10 jersey as a Bronc and has the potential to cause a lot of headaches for defenders in the MAAC."

Rachel Ross
Goalkeeper – Yorktown Heights, NY/Somers
The starting goalkeeper for Somers High school in 2019, Ross set the single-season high school record with 13 shutouts as she led the Tuskers to the NY State Sectional Finals. Ross was named to both the All-League and All-Sectional teams. At the club level, Ross was the starting keeper for New York Soccer Club before spending two years in the USSDA with New York City FC.

"Rachel is a talented keeper who has experience competing at the highest level with the US Soccer Developmental Academy. Rachel is an excellent shot-stopper and is a great addition to our defensive unit. Rachel will wear the #0 jersey as a Bronc."

Ellie Sciancalepore
Goalkeeper – Randolph, NJ/Randolph
A four-year starter for Randolph High School, Sciancalepore set the single-season high school record with 13 shutouts in 2019, captaining the Rams to the first County Championship in eight years and a NJAC Divisional Championship. Sciancalepore was named Tournament MVP and is a two-time First Team All-Conference Honoree. At the club level, Sciancalepore led STA MUSC with a record 23 shutouts in 2019, a USCS and USYS National League Mid-Atlantic Championship and a berth in NJ State Cup Final.

"Ellie is a talented keeper with a ton of potential. She has good hands, moves well, has great athleticism and excellent field presence. Ellie will wear the #99 jersey as a Bronc and has the potential to be one of the top goalkeepers in the MAAC."
